Font size (QuickSearch)

QuickSearch large font size When you want to find a note (or search for text in any note) you use the QuickSearch box.

Even a small improvement can make a huge difference in usability, and if you take a close look at the image to the right you'll see that the font size is larger in the QuickSearch box than the rest of the application (the ribbon and the list below the QuickSearch).

This is especially important for readability because of the incremental search functionality where the rest of the title is automatically suggested for you.

In this example, if you type '1' then iKnow will add 'Home' to suggest the note '1Home' (as that is the only title that starts with the character '1' here).

Can such a small detail be that important, you may ask ?

Even the mighty Google has increased the size of their search box to improve usability (no, I don't think they 'stole' the idea from us even if we did it first :-)

"Over the past 11 years, we've made a number of changes to our homepage. Some are small and some are large. In this case, it's a small change that makes search more prominent"
- Marissa Mayer, Vice President, Search Products & User Experience, Google
