Capture Images

You can capture screenshots by using the 'Capture/Screenshot' button or shortcut key Alt + S (Screenshot). PpcSoft iKnow will minimize for a second, and automatically 'snap' a screenshot of the current screen. It will then show the 'Paste Image' dialog where you can preview the image and crop it to remove unnecessary parts. |  |

The screenshot is copied to the clipboard, so you may choose to close the 'Paste image' dialog, and then paste the image into a dedicated paint application instead for further editing. When you've completed your changes, you can paste it into PpcSoft iKnow if you wish.
Capture web snapshots

If your last active application was an internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Opera) PpcSoft iKnow will recognize this and capture the URL and title of the web page as well as the snapshot.
When you capture a snapshot of a web page, a hyperlink will be created with the given title (which you can change) that links to the original web page (URL). However, the screenshot of the page will also be saved, meaning that captured web links will have two functions: - Preview web page using the snapshot when hovering over the link with your mouse - Open the web page using your default browser when clicking the link |

PpcSoft iKnow will only save one preview image for each web address, so if you copy the hyperlink to other notes they will all link to the same preview image. This will save space, but it also means that if you capture an updated image from the same web page later, all your links to this URL will automatically use the updated preview image.
The screenshot is copied to the clipboard, so you may choose to close the 'Paste Web Link' dialog, and then paste the image into a dedicated paint application instead for further editing. When you've completed your changes, you can paste it back into PpcSoft iKnow if you wish. But please note that it will then be saved as an ordinary image, not as a web link.
