PpcSoft iKnow features - Using images
Using Images
|
You may add images by linking to them, pasting them into PpcSoft iKnow or capturing them. The images are not shown directly, but you see them by hovering over their links (using the mouse or keyboard Alt + Up/Down arrow). All pasted/captured images are saved in a subfolder named 'images' where your datafile is located, and all links to them are relative. This means that if you copy the datafile and subfolders to a different location (or different computer for synchronization) then all links will continue to work even though the images are stored separately. | |

You can easily have a hundred links to images that are many megabytes each in a single note, and the note will still open instantly as the images are loaded on demand. And because your images are stored separately, the datafile will still be relatively small and efficient, even if you add gigabytes of images.
If you add very large images, PpcSoft iKnow will automatically create a smaller thumbnail for you to increase performance.
You may zoom the images to use the full window size by using Alt + Z to toggle zoom size, or by using Ctrl + Mousewheel.
Show a 'slideshow' in a note by previewing an image, and then use your Mousewheel to quickly jump to the next/previous image in the note.
