Finding information with PpcSoft iKnow

Finding information is as quick and easy as 1-2-3

You start typing 'pdf' in the QuickSearch area and notice that the frame turns dark.

This indicates that there is no note named 'PDF' in PpcSoft iKnow.

However, you can still press Enter, but instead of opening a note, a full-text search is performed to search for 'PDF' in all your notes .



(Pressing Ctrl+Space will always perform a full search, even if there is a note with the same title as your search word already)

The window changes to Full-text-search mode, and you'll see a list of matching notes and a preview of the current note.


Notice that the best match is shown first in the list, and that the search item is automatically shown and highlighted in the preview.

You may now press Enter to open the 'Google' note, or simply press Escape to return to the last active note ('2Do' in this example). Arrow up/down will automatically preview other notes in the search results list.

Also note that if you select text in the preview it will be automatically copied to the clipboard.
